Classroom Help

Okay, here’s the deal. Next year, my teaching load is changing big time. Notably, I’ll be taking over the senior advanced placement class and will need some new stuff (books, etc) for the classroom. Additionally, some of the things I have are wearing out and need to be replaced. So…

I have a favor to ask.

Cate and I have an Amazon Affiliates link set up. Basically, if you click on the link and then buy something from Amazon (not just what the link takes you to, but literally anything) we get a small kick back. It doesn’t affect the price of what you buy, it just helps us out a bit.

This summer, all of  our affiliate income will go to my classroom. What I am asking is that, if you’re going to buy something on Amazon, come here and click on the link above (or any of the book link in the sidebars) and then buy whatever you planned to buy. It won’t cost you anything more than the time it takes to come here and click a link and it will get me and my students the classroom supplies we need.

Thanks.

Have you considered setting up a DonorsChoose goal for the materials you need.

Jason, are you teaching AP Lit or AP Language? I’ve taught both in the past and will be teaching both again next year. I’m interested to know how you’re approaching the class and which texts you’re thinking of using. E-mail me if you get a chance! I’ll also definitely use the link if I buy anything on Amazon, which is highly likely.

    • I’m teaching AP lit. I’ll definitely email you in a few weeks when I really start planning. I’m looking for all the input I can get.

Sounds good. I ‘m teaching AP Lit with juniors. Going to be interesting. It’ll be the first time the “top” juniors have ever been separated from the other kids in an English class. They are in store for extreme academic culture shock.
